Castres court case adjourned
Legal proceedings initiated by Castres Olympique against European Rugby Cup Ltd have been adjourned today for a full hearing in the High Court in Dublin next week.
The issue in question centres around the eligibility of the Castres player Norm Berryman who played in the opening match in the Pool stages of this season's Heineken Cup.
Castres were originally docked two points for fielding Berryman, who ERC Ltd claim was not registered with the French outfit to play in the competition, but on appeal the deduction was reduced to one point.
Castres argue that Berryman was registered and that the punishment should not stand. The case will now be heard on Tuesday, January 16.
