Ingle 'ill but improving' say doctors

Doctors treating injured boxer Paul Ingle said he had attempted to speak for the first time since suffering life-threatening injuries in the ring.

The 28-year-old Scarborough fighter suffered critical injuries during his IBF featherweight title defence against South African Mbulelo Botile at the Sheffield Arena on December 16.
