Tralee Warriors take major scalp in UCD Marian
UCD Marian, one of the leading contenders for silverware this season, had a magnificent opening half and, inspired by American Mike Garrow, led 38-30 at the break. Credit to the Warriors coach Mark Bernsen, who made some positional changes on the restart and by the end of the third quarter they had reduced the deficit to three. The supporters certainly lifted the players coming down the stretch and with American Trae Pemberton finishing with a game high 28 points they ran 79-74 winners.
Griffith Swords Thunder produced an excellent performance when they easily accounted for Moycullen away 102-79.
