Glanmire forced into late battle by Meteors

Team Ambassador UCC Glanmire had to withstand a late Meteors rally before taking maximum points 62-59 in the Women’s Super League.

The Cork side had a comfortable 12-point lead entering the final quarter but Meteors American Monet Neal began finding her touch at the post. In the end, Glanmire held out for a hard earned win much to the relief of coach Mark Scannell.

“We looked comfortable for the majority of the game but credit to Meteors they have good squad,” he said .
