Lewis Hamilton high after win on home turf

Lewis Hamilton delighted his home crowd by completing a hat-trick of consecutive British Grand Prix wins yesterday.

The defending champion dominated in the changeable conditions to march to victory and, in doing so, became the most successful British driver at Silverstone with his fourth win.

His Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg crossed the line in second place, but was demoted to third after he was found to be in breach of the sport’s strict radio rules over messages transmitted to him as he battled a late gearbox issue. The 31-year-old German is now just one point ahead of Hamilton.
