Mark English and Rose-Anne Galligan get nod for World Indoors

Mark English (UCD) and Rose-Anne Galligan (Newbridge) have been named in the Irish team for the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Portland, Oregon (March 17-20).

English has been selected in the 800m and will have hopes of adding to his medal collection, a European outdoor (Zurich) bronze medal in 2014 and a silver medal at the European Indoors (Prague) last year.

Galligan is the national outdoor 800m record holder and has been selected to run the 1,500m.
