Limerick’s ladies enjoyed one of the biggest victories of their short history as they dumped UCC out of the Munster Senior Cup on penalties on Saturday.

The club, founded in 2000, made its way from the bottom of the senior ranks in Munster to become an established Division 1 side in recent seasons.

However, turning over UCC, an EY Hockey League side, in their Mardyke backyard will rank as a particularly memorable day for Aamir Khan’s charges.
