Cameron Hanley’s star horse put down

Irish show jumper Cameron Hanley was dealt another cruel blow yesterday when his top horse, Antello Z, was euthanised.

The Mayo native was competing at the inaugural Liverpool International Horse Show when the 13-year-old gelding hesitated before taking off at a fence and stumbled on landing.

Hanley was pitched over the head of the horse, who reportedly continued around the arena with blood on his near foreleg, before making for the exit tunnel.
