In an exciting opening half both teams scored at will but a late three pointer from Killester’s American, Rae Contreras, ensured they led 44-41 at the interval.

In the second half the game hung in the balance for long periods but Killester’s Aishling O’Sullivan nailed the crucial baskets to the dismay of DCU coach Mark Ingle.
