Good news fight fans. Duffy vs Poirier is back on and is set to be huge.
Duffy v Poirier rescheduled for UFC 195 in Vegas

There was widespread disappointment last week at the news that Joseph Duffy was forced to pull out of UFC Dublin with concussion. The Irish lightweight fighter was due to fight Dustin Poirier in what was the much anticipated feature fight on the card.

Poirier was left without an opponent when Duffy withdrew and turned down the chance to fight Norman Parke at UFC Fight Night 76 in the 3 Arena. And he has insisted Parke should be thankful for that decision.

“Norman is not a tough fight,” he said. “He’s on Twitter saying all kinds of stuff. Dude, he should be happy he fought that guy he fought, because he’d be getting his walking papers this week. I saved his career, he should thank me.”

It was clear both Poirier and Duffy wanted their fight to be rescheduled and they’ve gotten their wish after being added to the UFC 195 fight card in Vegas.

With this latest addition, UFC 195 will be a hugely anticipated event. Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit will battle it out for the welterweight title while Andrei Arlovski will face Stipe Miocic, Joseph Duffy takes on Dustin Poirier and Neil Magny and Stephen Thompson go head to head.

This January event comes in the wake of some scintillating UFC action with fights such as Rousey vs Holm in November and McGregor vs Aldo in December paving the way for what is sure to be a cracking event at the start of next year.

Has there been a better time to be a UFC fan?
