Chelsea fans voted ugliest in the Premier League

A rough week for Chelsea fans has taken another turn for the worse.

The Chelsea faithful witnessed their side stutter at St James’ on Saturday and barely come away with a point as they were forced to come back from 2-0 down.

Last night, they were beaten 2-1 away to Porto on what was supposed to be Jose Mourinho’s triumphant return to the club.

The unkindness cut of all came this morning, however, as Blues fans woke up to the news that they are the ugliest fans in the Premier League.

A study commissioned by dating website Match.com asked 1,000 supporters which rival fans they found most dateable and attractive and Chelsea fans didn’t fare too well. In fact, they came dead last.

They may, however, take heart from the fact that Man United fans were voted into the 19th spot, just above the Blues. Sunderland fans, much like the club itself also find themselves languishing in the bottom three.

So, which fans are the most attractive, I hear you ask?

Does the scouse accent float your boat? Does the thought of a London based apartment near Upton Park attract you? The winners, in fact, are Bournemouth fans with 58 per cent of those polled appealed by the prospect of dating a Cherries supporter while Southampton and Norwich also make up the top three.

Elsewhere, 13 percent of voters said they could never be attracted to a rival team supporter.

Not a great week for Chelsea all round. Oh well, at least they’ll get to see a set of very attractive supporters this Saturday as the Blues take on Southampton.
