Matthew Macklin building for another world title shot

Matthew Macklin has revealed talks have begun for his fourth world title shot, with WBA champion Danny Jacobs in his sights for a potential September clash on the east side of America.

Macklin was knocked out by Jorge Sebastian Heiland in November and it was unclear whether or not he would ever return to the ring.

But he made his comeback in his home town of Birmingham on Saturday, despatching Sandor Micsko in the second round and now feels ready to challenge for world honours once again.
