Take Pine for starters

A very tough card greets patrons at Curraheen Park tonight but Kathrynspinefern gets the nap selection to make the most of a winning opportunity in the opening race.

On his most recent outing, Kathryn O’Dea’s dog was showing pace into the first turn when badly baulked, and lost all chance thereafter in what was a good contest for this grade.

He has a fine record from trap one and, if he can reproduce one of his better breaks, should be able to make the most of it.
