Coach Paul Lenihan ejected as Glanmire win

Glanmire’s quest to retain their Women’s U18 title remained on track after their comfortable 76-42 win over East Cavan Eagles at the Parochial Hall.

The first half was sluggish and although the champions were slow into their stride, they still managed to command a 35-24 interval lead. No doubt the biggest talking point of the first half was the expulsion of the Glanmire coach Paul Lenihan from the gym following a verbal spat with referee Lynda Cassidy.

The build up to this centred around a missed call that saw the Glanmire boss question the official.
