UCC Demons went into last night’s Men’s National Cup semi-final 11 for 11 in the Premier League, as reigning cup champions and with a homecourt advantage against Swords Thunder. What wasn’t to like?

They’d won their eleven league games by an average of 20 points. Nobody had made them sweat - not even last night’s opponents, Swords, beaten by 15 in October.
