A Rob Lynch-inspired Limerick Celtics overturned a seven-point interval deficit to edge past Moycullen 32-27 in the Munster Joinery-sponsored Men’s Premier final at the 45th annual Castleisland Christmas Blitz on Monday night.

Moycullen, coached by Kieran O’Sullivan, were quickly into their stride and early baskets from Ronan O’Sullivan and Stephen O’Brien had them in front. Rob Lynch, with three buckets in the paint subsequently, levelled at 7-7.

Moycullen surged forward thereafter, thanks in the main to two baskets from Cian Clernon, one each from Rory Gilson, Ger Lyons, Dylan Cunningham and Paul Freeman. Rob Lynch and Jack Kelly kept Celtics in touch, but Moycullen maintained pole position, ahead by 19-12 at the break.
