Record numbers predicted as Waterford Viking Marathon returns

The fourth annual WLRfm Waterford Viking Marathon takes place on Saturday, June 27 next year. Pieta House Waterford is the nominated charity to benefit from the event, which is aiming to attract record numbers in 2015.

There are a number of slight changes to the route but competitors will, as always, begin in the city before heading to the seaside at Tramore and finishing with a lap of the Regional Sports Centre on the Cork Road.

Des Whelan, WLRfm managing director and Waterford Marathon chairman, is relishing the return of the event which has developed a huge profile in the past three years.
