UCC men and women face do or die ties on historic day at the Mardyke

UCC hope a historic day at the Mardyke turns out to be one to remember for the right reasons as both their men’s and women’s first teams host Irish Hockey League opposition.

While the women have been regular IHL entrants since first qualifying in 2009, the men are in the competition for the first time this season.

Both lost on the road in week one, a late splurge of goals seeing the women go down 6-2 at Lurgan while the men lost 3-0 to Instonians.
