Chubb: Meteors primed for ‘acid test’

Basketball: Women’s Premier League leaders Meteors are relishing the "acid test" of facing champions Team Montenotte at Coláiste Íosagáin tomorrow.

Meteors, one of oldest Ladies basketball clubs in this country, have strengthened their squad in recent months with the American Ganser sisters — Katie and Christine — showing impressive early-season form while former UL Huskies star Aoife McDermott is another key signing.

Last weekend Meteors beat Singleton’s Supervalu Brunell but coach Eoin Chubb is under no illusions of the task that awaits his side.
