O’Connell, O’Sullivan star in time trial
Some 176 scullers participated, with O’Connell and O’Sullivan posting a winning time of 6 minutes. 54 seconds each, five seconds faster than Colm Hennessy (Shandon Boat Club), the 2013/14 Cork Sculling Ladder overall winner. Claire Synnott (Lee Rowing Club) won the women’s time trial section 7.43, by two seconds from her club mate Eimear Cummins 7.45. Conditions for sculling were excellent on a very calm river.
The 2014-2015 Cork Sculling Ladder continues with 2 boat racing until March 29, 2015.
