Demons and Killester set for showdown

UCC Demons and Killester will battle it out for the Premier Men’s League title next Sunday after their Dublin double header wins over Templeogue and DCU Saints.

The Cork side clashed with Templeogue on Saturday at Inchicore and after getting tested for long periods they eventually wore their opponents down in the final quarter to run out 102-80 winners.

Many pundits were predicting a potential banana skin for Demons yesterday when they played DCU Saints before a capacity attendance at Greendale. But the Cork side laid the foundation for their win with a superb first-half performance to lead 40-22.
