Joe Ward and Paddy Barnes blasted their way into the quarter-finals with last-16 wins yesterday but Sean McComb bowed out.
Barnes advanced with a stunning first round stoppage of Simon Nzioki in the 52kg class. The Kenyan went down under a sweeping left hook 1:26 into the first and the referee waved it off.
