Gary Daly kept his championship ambitions alive with a good last shot win over Christy Mullins in Pool C of the Munster senior championship at Shannonvale.

He got the better of a slow start by winning the first two tips, but Mullins took a substantial 50m lead with his third. Daly was back in front after two more to the quarry, but his lead was back to a metre after eight to Desmond’s cross.

Daly took a big lead with his shot from the cross. Mullins cut it to ten metres with his next towards Sam’s Lane and regained the lead with a great bowl on the straight. He got the better of two brilliant shots to the palms, but Daly went back in front in the shots to sight at Campbell’s.
