Keenan wants Eagles to fly higher

Champions of the regular season yes but also stuttering: UL Eagles coach Mark Keenan is the most concerned man in Irish basketball right now.

They had been heirs to the Champions Trophy for so long this season but the manner of their run-in, two losses in their final three games, will have worried Eagles fans.

Capturing the regular season title on Friday night against Dublin Inter, they went out the following night and lost to Bord Gáis Neptune 77-81. Blip? Lack of focus? A sign of true form? Time will tell but given the way they’ve played this season they could be forgiven for easing up.
