Taylor makes return on night of elite quality

It’s a fantastic card for this evening’s Elite National Boxing Championships in the National Stadium with 10 men’s, three women’s titles to be decided and at least five new champions to be crowned.

The most high-profile fighter on the night, however, isn’t boxing for any of those titles. Katie Taylor, AIBA world number-one, reigning Irish, European Union, European, world and Olympic lightweight champion, will be making her first appearance in a ring anywhere since that golden evening in London last August.
