Elliot withdraws bid to remain as Ireland team manager

Ginny Elliot has withdrawn her application seeking another term as the Ireland eventing team high-performance manager.

The English woman had held the position since 2008, and was among nine people that applied for the post after it was advertised in December by Horse Sport Ireland.

She told the Irish Examiner yesterday: “Due to recent developments and the opportunity to contemplate, I decided at the weekend to withdraw my application for the high-performance manager’s job for Ireland.
