Denis Lynch will not be among the show jumpers meeting with Horse Sport Ireland (HSI) personnel in Dublin today, according to his brother Shay, as the governing body prepares to advertise the Ireland manager’s job.

The Tipperary rider pocketed €60,000 when second in yesterday Gucci Grand Prix in Paris on Abbervail van het Dingeshof, and Shay, who acts as his manager, last night said “He won’t be at the meeting” as he is on his way home from the French capital.

According to HSI, the purpose of today’s gathering is to help it define the role of the team manager, ahead of the termination of Robert Splaine’s contract on December 31.
