Inter’s winning start

Dublin Inter made a winning start to life in the Nivea for Men’s SuperLeague last night when they defeated DCU Saints by 82 to 67.

Previously known as Ballon, they led by six at the break (37-31) before a packed National Stadium last night and went on to stretch their advantage.

Tonight sees Moycullen play host to UCC Demons at 3.45pm in NUI Galway while in Dublin, Killester take on UCD Marian in Greendale at 8pm. Down south tomorrow, Neptune Stadium plays host to the meeting of Bord Gáis Neptune and UL Eagles (3pm.) The format of the league includes eight teams and will operate on a three-round league format, with the winners being determined by table position at the end of the 21-game season.
