Ireland will have four representatives in the Tour of Britain which starts tomorrow in Ipswich.

Sam Bennett and Ronan McLaughlin make up part of the five-man An Post Sean Kelly team while Dubliner Philip Lavery lines out in the colours of British ream Node4Giordana with Belfast native Peter Hawkins representing IG Sigma Sport.

The event will cover 1,350kms over eight days and features top pro tour teams like Team Sky, Liquigas-Cannondale and Orica GreenEDGE. Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins, pictured, will spearhead Sky’s challenge. — Brian Canty
