Eoin Griffin has been tipped as a potential successor to Brian O’Driscoll at outside centre for Ireland but has been hampered by a troublesomehamstring injury since the closing stages of last season.

The Galway native, who will be 22 next month, has just returned from a week’s intensive treatment with Dr Hans Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt in Germany and could now be available for the opening game of theRaboDirect Pro12 against Cardiff Blues on Saturday.
