Earley tops at juvenile interpro in Killarney

Macroom TroutAnglers’ Alistair Earley was top rod in the Juvenile Lake Interprovincial trout fly angling competition fished at Lough Lein, Killarney.

The event was hosted by Mallow Trout Anglers with the co-operation of the all Munster trout fly clubs who fish the Co. Kerry lake and the Board of Works.

Seventeen boats took the young anglers to various parts of the lake for the fishing from 10am to 4.30pm where conditions were difficult with bright sunshine keeping the brown trout down in this catch and release fixture that had a 20 cm size limit.
