Eoin to defy step up in class
The progressive pup is taking a step up in class but he looks to have a perfect draw and can be expected to make the most of it. Smart at the break and strong at the finish, he can prove too good for potential pacesetter Knockbrogan Ash.

He ran out a comfortable winner from an experienced and very useful sort when successful in this grade last time out and he looks to have an ideal draw outside a modest breaker. He can steal the rails pitch early and should prove hard to beat.
Lachteens Shaw enjoys a significant drop in grade for the night’s closing race and Tom O'Neill's dog should capitalise. On his most recent outing, at Shelbourne Park, he ran better than his finishing position suggests when fourth behind 28.15 winner Camas Crash.
Off a decent break he was showing pace into the turn when running up the back of the leaders and losing valuable ground.
The winner posted 29.56 in his Derby heat on Thursday night, while runner-up Krelco was beaten just a length in another heat. There is nothing of that caliber in opposition this time and Lachteens Shaw can stamp his class all over this race.
Castlelyons Cofi looks set for a big run in the first semi-final of the Irish & European A2. He was very unlucky in running when beaten in the first round and he can reverse that form with Honchos Key if getting anything like a clear run.
