Impressive Droopys Jet flies home in inside trap
It was a particularly strong run from Fraser Black’s dog in which, admittedly, he looked nailed-on and was priced at 2/5. He flew from the inside trap and led up from Allen Master. The further he went the further he pulled clear and, at the line, he had seven lengths in hand of Allen Master, with Ruthless Man three and a half lengths third.
There was another spectacular run from Rachel Wheeler’s Camas Crash as he won heat 5 in 29.56. He was led to the bend by Toms Brett, but took it up on the corner and quickly drew clear. He pulled right away and had seven lengths in hand at the line. Droopys Cain lost his position to the bend and ran on like a train to take second.
