Kelly pens new Fulham contract

Ireland defender Stephen Kelly yesterday signed a two-year contract extension with Fulham after finally establishing himself as regular starter at the London club.

The full-back was a peripheral figure under former bosses Roy Hodgson and Mark Hughes after moving to Fulham in 2009, but established himself as a key player under Martin Jol in the second half of last season.

“I’m delighted that it’s sorted now and I can hopefully continue on from last year,’’ the 28-year-old said.
