Everything in place for a big run from Gael

Everything looks to be in place for a big run from Gael Taca in tonight’s closing race at Curraheen Park and she rates nap material to make the most of the opportunity.

Everything in place for a big run from Gael

She was arguably a touch disappointing when beaten here last time out but this is a lesser contest and if she can break as she did on that occasion, it seems unlikely that she’ll be reeled in this time.

Kieran Lynch’s bitch has a nice touch of early pace and a good draw, to boot, and she’s very much capable of leading all the way. She’ll have to post a time on or a little below 29 seconds if she’s to hold off some of these rivals but that looks well within her capabilities and she’s taken to lead the way home, with Kilbarry Lady in tow.

Beanos Kenny is sure to be popular in the sixth race but Camera Six looks very well housed and can be expected to make best use of it. She won a somewhat messy contest on her debut over six bends back in February but she was a deserving winner on that occasion and she also gave the impression that she should have more to give over the trip.

She should be on or close to the pace early and is taken to deny the anticipated fast finish of Beanos Kenny, who was perhaps a shade unlucky in defeat last time.

In the first heat of the Viaduct Inn A4 550, Watch Out Stella could prove hard to beat. Margaret Howard and Mark Drinan’s experienced bitch ran a cracker in defeat last time and the step up in trip is certain to be to her liking. It’s not a straightforward task, given that Muskerry Torres may take her ground early and Droopys Rachel is thoroughly unexposed but she posted such a good effort last time that she is worth siding with.
