Panther can overcome tricky draw

Milldean Panther will be the centre of attention at Curraheen Park tonight and despite a significant edge in terms of class, John O’Flynn’s dog faces a tricky task from trap five in the Formula One Grand Prix final.

With so much early pace in the race and he having a penchant for the rails, he could be set for a troubled passage unless he can produce the type of break that carried him clear at Shelbourne Park on Derby final night.

The fear is that he hasn’t been breaking to the best of his ability recently, but it’s still very difficult to oppose him.
