Butler and Will Wimble show class

Meath show jumper Alexander Butler steered Will Wimble to victory in the 1.45m class at Lummen, Belgium, yesterday, pipping compatriot Trevor Coyle and Jubilee D’Ouilly by two-hundredths of a second.

Irish dominance saw Clement McMahon (Cortaflex Touchable) and Tipperary’s Shane Breen (Zarnita) finish fifth and sixth, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Irish pony team tp face 10 countries in today’s nations cup in Fontainebleau, France, is: Paraic Kenny (Grey Ross), Matt Garrigan (Dr Spot), Molly O’Shea (More Clover) and Tom Foley (Crown Jewel). The team is drawn 4th of 11 nations.
