Setanta to show league finals live
The Nivea Women’s SuperLeague final will be shown on Friday, March 23 at 6.45pm, with the Nivea Men’s SuperLeague final scheduled for 8.45pm.
This new development comes on the back of a successful National Cup Finals in February, which marked the first broadcast since signing a three-year deal with Setanta.
Welcoming the news, Basketball Ireland’s Bernard O’Byrne said; “This is another tremendous boost for our sport and gives the National League Finals the recognition it richly deserves.
“‘Friday night live’ is becoming a big part of the Basketball Ireland calendar and we are relishing two more great finals on live TV.”
Both Leagues are at the quarter-final stages of the play-offs, with the semi-finals taking place on St Patrick’s weekend.
