John O’Flynn has been adamant he would not risk the dog if conditions are not suitable. However, with a favourable weather forecast overnight, conditions are expected to be just right this morning and the dog will be trialled either over 525 or 550. His other star tracker, Dear Pa, will have a sprint spin.
The plan is for Milldean Panther to contest the SIS Live Tote Gold Cup, which commences at Shelbourne on Saturday week. This €30,000 to the winner competition is going to be a tremendous event with many of the big names already confirmed as likely challengers.
One surprise name in the hat is Tyrur Big Mike, who has mated 20 bitches in the past five weeks but was in such sparkling form that PJ Fahy decided to give him another trial. He clocked 28.52 at Shelbourne on Saturday and looks an absolute picture.
But Derby winner Tyrur McGuigan won’t be running again as he sprained a hock in a trial on Saturday.
Fastest trial on Saturday was the 28.49 from Larry Dunne’s Slippery Patch while other trials included Razldazl Will 28.57, Tyrur Mozzletoff 28.65, Rockchase Bullet 28.61, Cian Abbey 28.70 and Eabhas Fantasy 28.73. Derby finalist Rockview Head clocked 19.08 for the sprint distance.
Most of these will be entries for the SIS event. Razldazl Will is Dolores Ruth’s only intended runner and he will be given another trial on Thursday.
She could also give her Irish Derby winner Razldazl George a trial but will definitely put Razldazl Dmagio, Razldazl Houdini and Kingo around. She will be bringing her three intended English Derby challengers — Razldazl Jayfkay, Bugatti and Rioga — over to Wimbledon for a trial when the weather relents.
