Con Sheehan (Clonmel BC) will go to the scales in pursuit of a fifth successive national senior title tomorrow morning as a fully fledged super heavyweight.

However, coach Martin Fennessy insists he is still a work in progress.

Last year he equalled the record of another legendary Clonmel boxing club member, Peter Crotty, with a fourth successive senior title and, while he raised some eyebrows by moving up to super heavy after that, his coach insists it was inevitable, if not essential.
