Captains given targets

Claire Coughlan (Cork), Niamh Kitching (Limerick) and Terry Sexton (Dun Laoghaire) are the respective captains of the Irish Ladies’, girls’ and senior international teams this season.

Coughlan, a past Curtis Cup player, will lead Ireland in the Home Internationals at her home club Cork (Sept 4-6).

Former international Kitching will captain the Irish girls’ team at the European Team Championships in GC St Leon-Rot, Germany (July 10-14) and the Home Internationals at Radyr Golf Club, Wales (August 7-9).

Sexton (Dun Laoghaire GC) captain’s the seniors for the European Team Championships in Lugano, Switzerland (Sept 4-8) and the Home International matches at Elie & Earlsferry in Scotland (October 2-4).
