The Department of Agriculture did not issue a statement confirming the appointments but the grapevine suggests McEntee, a native of County Kildare, is one of four new members of the IGB.

The other people generally mentioned are Limerick greyhound trainer Brendan Moore, a member of Galbally Coursing Club, and successful Galway hurling manager Mattie Murphy. It would appear that existing member Tim Gilbert has been re-appointed for another term.
