New method for selecting Clonmel judges

FOLLOWING some controversy and experimentation in recent years, the Irish Coursing club executive has approved a new method for selecting judges and slippers for the National Coursing meeting in Clonmel.

New method for selecting Clonmel judges

The committee held its first meeting since the AGM on Thursday last and a decision to change the voting system was passed by 19 votes to 1. The new system will see the owners of all qualifiers for the national meeting, along with the executive committee, selecting both judges and slippers.

The total number of votes will be 192, including 20 executive members. Each person will be allowed to vote for two judges and two slippers and owners with more than one qualifier will have votes for each qualifier.
