Trade Brett to remain unbeaten

While more prospective Pat Hennerty Sales Irish Laurels Classic contenders put their credentials on the line at Curraheen Park tonight, some potential stars of the future contest the semi-finals of the Two Wheel Training Unraced Stake.

Trade Brett to remain unbeaten

Sinead Tuohy's Trade Brett produced a very polished performance in last week's opening round of the novices’ stake and he can confirm the promise of that run with victory in the first semi-final.

The professionalism of the run was evident and tonight's heat will demand a similar display. Rockview Impact, a half-brother to Derby semi-finalist Rockview Head, and Mikos Bullet, a full-brother to Barefoot Bullet, are dogs of real potential but each looks poorly housed. Were their draws reversed, both would hold bigger claims but Trade Brett has much in his favour and he can maintain the unbeaten start to his career.

In the second semi-final, the in-form kennel of Michael Hallahan can score with the early-paced Airforce Mustang, who didn’t get home last week but should have come on for that run.

Earlier in the night, Millbankscarface looks to have a terrific opportunity to return to winning ways. A decent break could be enough to see him to the front and he can fly home clear of Headleys Mentor.

The Laurels hopefuls line up in the Getting Out Stakes, where the draw is such that Colorful Champ will be hard to beat. Paul Hennessy's dog was a winner here last Laurels final night and he can beat National Puppy Stake champion Deerfield Music.
