Bullet can shoot down his rivals
Last Saturday night Leeview Jet laid down his marker for the Laurels with a brilliant trap-to-line victory and Barefoot Bullet, who ran the winner to three parts of a length on that occasion, can frank the form by taking the Getting Out Stakes.
Paul Hennessy’s dog was bumped at the first bend in last week’s race, but he showed terrific back-straight and finishing pace.
A finalist in the 2010 Irish Derby and the 2011 English Derby, he can stamp his class on this race. A clear run will suffice.
The final of the Cork GOBA Past Presidents’ A3 is a really tricky puzzle to unravel, but Funcheon Black really impressed with his pace and attitude last time out and he can land the spoils for Roger Casey.
He’d prefer to be drawn a little off the rails but, if he can reproduce his best break, that may be incidental.
Even though the draw could be better, it’s hard to look beyond Patrick O’Regan’s Black Diver in the final of the Gally A4 Stakes. The youngster lacks a little early pace, but if he can negotiate a clear run around the opening bends, he will be very hard to hold.
In the Cork GOBA A3 550, Vito Dawn should be hard to hold.
Juliet Aldridge’s dog impressed in previous rounds and, despite being unlikely to lead, his superior stamina should see him home in front.
