Taylor fights for fourth EU title

IRISH lightweight Katie Taylor is just one bout away from winning her fourth consecutive European Union title following a resounding semi-final victory over Chantelle Cameron in Poland yesterday.

The world and European lightweight champ hammered out a 28-10 verdict and will now meet Poland’s Karolina Graczyk — who she beat in the 2010 EU Championships — in this morning’s 60kg final in Katowice.

Taylor’s Bray team-mate Laoise Traynor and Lauragh O’Neill both bowed out at the semi-final stage yesterday.
