Clinical champ Taylor stays on course

Taylor, who is aiming for her fourth EU title in a row, beat the Bulgarian 11-6 in Katowice to march into today’s quarter-finals, where she’ll meet Marzia Davide of Italy.

Tuesday’s win came three months after Eliseeva controversially beat Taylor 5-1 at the Strandja Multi-Nations in Bulgaria. The Bray woman, who beat Eliseeva 16-1 and 8-1 in the 2009 and 2010 EU finals, was 7-3 up after the first two rounds yesterday and 9-4 ahead going into the fourth and final frame.
