Colourful can out-Fox rivals

TRAINER Paul Hennessy has dominated the stayers’ races at Curraheen Park in recent weeks and the trend should continue when the Barry’s Tea Open 750 kick-off tonight.

The Gowran, Co. Kilkenny, handler has a runner in each of the four heats and has bright prospects of recording a treble.

Colourful Fox can set the ball rolling in heat one. A semi-finalist in the Tote Gold Cup and National Puppy Stakes, Colourful Fox was unlucky when a beaten favourite on his debut over this course and distance a fortnight ago, finishing second. This classy sort can set the record straight.

Hennessy’s Priceless Chef can add to recent gains in heat three. A strong stayer over middle distances, Priceless Chef made an impressive debut over this trip a fortnight ago, making all in 42.65, and is open to further improvement.
