Dubliner Cluskey on a roll in Swiss event

IRISH Davis Cup ace James Cluskey has put himself in line to capture a doubles title on the ITF Men’s Futures Circuit for the second week on the trot.

Cluskey, who played in last month’s Davis Cup clash with Luxembourg, and France’s Fabrice Martin came up trumps last Saturday in the indoor carpet tournament in Vaduz, Liechtensten. And the 24-year-old Dubliner and Italy’s Claudio Grassi, the No 1 seeds, yesterday chalked up two wins to advance to the final of the indoor carpet event in Taverne, Switzerland.

Swords man Cluskey and Grassi beat Swiss pair Raphael Hemmeler and Raphael Lusterberger 6-1 6-1 in the quarter-final.
