Clerihan clinches Munster Open Cup

CLERIHAN PADDY, bred and owned locally by Paddy Flannery, won the Munster Open Cup at Knockgraffon yesterday.

This Declan Byrne-trained dog represented the promoting club and beat Shadow Jaws in an all-puppy final. Paul and William Butler, Kilfinny, Adare own the runner-up, which was nominated by Fedamore.

Rhuta Bridge proved best in the Vincent Scully Memorial Cup for the Soldier On Syndicate, which is headed by Patsy Ryan, Ballysheedy, Co. Limerick. She proved stronger than the local bitch puppy, Mrs Ridiculous, the original first reserve, in the deciding buckle.
